Well its official. The car made it in EuroTuner. Its in this months issue (June 2010) and has four pages dedicated to it. There are a couple of errors in it but no big deal. Im just gald to finally get one of my builds in a magazine. Check out some more images after the jump.

The Project R56 Part Out

Im sad to say but its come to that time where Im ready to move on to another project. As a result I am parting out the mini and putting it back to stock form and will eventually sell it. Some Love From CanIBeat.com

I often frequent CanIBeat.com as one of the blogs I daily visit, but some how missed the fact that my car was on it. It wasn’t until one of the fellow members of MotoringUnderground.com told me they saw my Mini on there that I went back to the site and did a search and found it. To my surprise it wasn’t a little post as  guys gave me a lot of love. Car Back On The Road… Finally!

Last night I finally got the wheels back on the car and more coolant in the motor and got the car back on the road. Its such a nice feeling to finally be able to drive it again after two months of it sitting on jack stands! The car needs a bath and then time for some proper photos.

Challenge Car Diffusers On!

After working on these both a little bit Sat and Sunday, I came to find out these suckers don’t mount up as easy as one would think.  First you need the OEM aero kit under trays. These are plastic flat bottom pieces that are sold with the OEM aero kit (not the JCW aero kit) and are what the Challenge teams use for full body diffusers. Without these you will have no fwd mounting points for the diffuses. Luckily I had bought these a while ago, and just had not gotten around to getting them mounted to the car. Well after about 2 hours and a little trimming with a dreamel tool ( I have to cut out a small section where my bolt in roll bars mounts came through) I got the under trays on. The install wouldnt be too bad but working on your back while the car is on jack stands made it a bit of a pain in the ass.

The Diffusers them self require modifying the rear bumper. First you must remove the exhaust cap and either discard it completely or cut it to fit in between the diffusers. Then you much cut off all the tabs on the bumper which the OEM exhaust cap mounted to the rear bumper with. Yep thats right, one you install these there is no going back to stock. Over all the diffuser install wasn’t tough, just very time consuming.

CCW Rebuild Complete

Last night I got around to finishing putting my CCW Classics back together. It was my first attempt at reassembling 3pc wheels and wasn’t too difficult thanks to Dan’s (from CCW) help.  I’m very happy with the end results and cant wait to see what it looks like on the car. OEM Challenge Parts

After months and months of searching for a source for OEM Challenge parts I got lucky and landed some. They arrived today and when I opened them I was pleased to find everything I wanted in those 4 big boxes. Only downside was the fact they sent me two of the drivers sides of the front splitter. Hopefully they can get me a passenger side so that I can put it to use. Gallery after the jump.
